It will I think come out eventually that the U2 minders set this gravy train in motion. At DefectiveByDesign can be found the ludicrous petition to "Nelson" Bono to banish the US DRM evil. Remember Metallica? U2 are no different. They recently took a girl to court to get a Stetson back as they want to manage their "thing" in the history of their times. Remember Negativland? I thought this was a site about consumer rights focusing on EULAs... I read somewhere that Bono thinks the recording industry wouldn't allow anyone to become as successful as U2 anymore. I think he likes that idea... anyway where the friggin hell are the eulas I came to read...

Another reason to detest Universal Music Group, and I think we already have plenty. If any large record label really deserves to go the way of the dinosaur, UMG does.
